We have a well developed and highly respected employer brand, built upon the firm’s culture of treatment of its staff. This culture includes its training and development policies, communication and involvement in the development of the firm means that we have a very high staff retention rate and relative ease in attracting staff to work at the firm. This is underpinned by the firm’s Investors in People accreditation which it had had since 1995. The firm’s last two reviews conducted in 2006 and 2009 gave a very positive view of the firm’s practices and underlined the view of staff that the firm was excellent to work for.

We have a pro-active approach to the training of all our staff through external courses and regular in-house training. Our aim is to tailor individual needs to enable staff to keep up to date and to excel in their chosen specialist areas of work.

We are an expanding business and are often looking for additional staff.

We also see the need to train staff for the future of the business and have a well developed structure for trainee solicitors and legal executives, with training being offered in all departments. Two trainee solicitors are taken on each year in September with interviews being held in January. Many of our trainees choose to make their career with us and our investment in training is repaid in the exceptional quality of our staff.
