Fixed Fee Private Work
We operate a fixed fee basis for non legally aided criminal work we undertake in the Magistrates’ Court.
We will provide you with our advice on the prosecution you face for a fee of £150 which will be waived if you then instruct us to go on to deal with that matter on a private fee basis.
Our fees for dealing with all necessary work in the Magistrates’ Court are £500 for an initial guilty plea, £2500 for a matter where a not guilty plea is entered which is listed for trial, and £1200 for any other case.
Where a matter is listed for a trial to take more than one day, or where the trial actually lasts more than one day, the £2500 fixed fee is increased by £750 for each of those days whichever is the longest.
These fees include VAT and are guaranteed to apply irrespective of the amount of work actually undertaken by us.
Any disbursements incurred, such as experts reports or travel costs including applicable VAT, will, however, be added. We will ask you to authorize and pay in advance for any disbursements totaling over £100 before we incur them.

Most properties are connected to the main sewers, however for some properties this is not possible and there needs to be an alternative method for waste disposal.
