We advise on the setting up and administration of charities, including the range of charitable structures available.
We also advise trustees of existing charities on their duties and powers under their charitable constitution, such as on proposed property transactions; governance issues and mergers/amalgamations, as well as liaising with the Charity Commission on the trustees’ behalf.
Richard Pollock is a member of the Charity Law Association and also heads up our Private Client team. Richard regularly advises Charity Trustees on a wide range of charity law issues – from establishment and registration, to their on-going powers and duties, to dealing with the Charity Commission, to termination and winding up.
