Truro lawyer celebrates promotion with Coodes Solicitors

Wed 22nd Jul 2015

“A Truro lawyer has been promoted to Associate with Coodes Solicitors. Darren Higginson has worked for Coodes for five years, dealing with a wide range of disputes from defective Wills to property issues.

The promotion recognises his excellent service to clients, his standing in the firm and his growing profile within the legal profession. “This promotion is recognition of the professional way in which Darren deals with clients and it demonstrates the high quality of his work,” said Colin Hunter, Coodes partner and Head of the Disputes team.

“We revel in our staff doing well and exceeding expectations while developing their spheres of work. And it means our clients can benefit from our growing expertise across the firm.”

Darren completed his training in Slough, where he worked for eight years before moving to the Basingstoke office of a leading national firm and then on to Cornwall where he lives with his wife and young daughter. “Being made an Associate gives me a sense of pride about a job well done and I am pleased to have achieved it while working for such a well-respected firm as Coodes,” he said.

“Although my day-to-day responsibilities will not change a great deal as a result of my promotion, I will continue to develop my expertise and to work to the best of my ability to support the firm’s clients and my colleagues.”

Coodes has grown its Disputes team over the last year having seen a sharp increase in disputes over Wills and estates. The team believes this is partly the result of the growth of ‘DIY probate’, with more people attempting to manage the administration of an estate themselves rather than seeking legal help.
