Coodes Solicitors launch new Tourism and Leisure Team

Fri 20th Aug 2010

The launch of the leisure and tourism team is an expansion of services already offered and, as a result , Coodes can tailor specialist advice to specific queries.

Christian Wilson who heads the Company and Commercial department said “We recognise that the tourism industry is hugely important to the economy in Cornwall and as such Coodes felt businesses should be given the focus and attention they deserve.”

The new team can assist in a wide variety of ways, from advising on contractual matters for permanent and agency staff to dispute resolution and litigation.

Coodes also deals with business sales and purchases, licensing, land acquisition and business management.

Christian said: “A Coodes solicitor is more than happy to come out to a business to discuss its legal needs as we understand that the leisure and tourism industry, especially at this time of year, is incredibly busy.”

The Coodes team recently visited the Driftwood Spars Hotel, in St Agnes, which is a client.

Landlady, Louise Treseder, said: “We’ve always had a fantastic relationship with Coodes as they are supportive, helpful and always on hand to deal with any questions we might have.

“It’s great that they can come out to the Driftwood Spars as it saves me a huge amount of time and enables me to get on with running my business.”

Coodes is the oldest law firm in Cornwall and has a leisure tourism specialist in each of their seven offices throughout the county and in Devon.

Teresa Timms, from Visit Cornwall, said: “This is a great new service offered by Coodes. In today’s highly competitive world it is now more important than ever that tourism businesses operate more efficiently and effectively.

“This service will certainly help them achieve this by allowing businesses to focus and those areas which can make such a big difference – offering great value for money and first class customer service.”
