A record number of Legal Executives came together last week for what has been reported as the largest branch meeting of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) in the country.
Legal experts from around Cornwall gathered at Coodes Solicitors’ Truro office for its AGM on Thursday 21 February.
CILEx President, Nick Hanning, and CEO, Dianne Burleigh, OBE, were both present and astounded by the level of support shown at the Cornwall Branch.
Coodes’ Jo Morgan, a Chartered Legal Executive who specialises in residential property was elected as Chair of the branch and said “I am delighted with my appointment and look forward to making a positive contribution to Cornwall CILEx and working closely with our members in the near future.
Jeremy Harvey, Managing Partner at Coodes, also attended and in his role as President of the Cornwall Law Society said “I feel that there will be several opportunities for Cornwall CILEx and Cornwall Law Society to work together in the future”.
The Cornwall branch is offering free membership in 2013 to encourage new members and in particular help CILEx students become involved in the branch.
