South West law firm Coodes Solicitors is recommended for its expertise and outstanding client service by one of the most influential legal directories, Chambers & Partners UK. The new 2018 edition of the independent guide, which ranks law firms from across the UK, recommends Coodes’ lawyers for their expertise in agriculture and rural affairs and clinical negligence.
In the new 2018 guide, Coodes’ Rural Affairs team is recommended for handling “a wide range of agricultural matters, including property transactions, tenancies and farming partnerships.” It describes the firm as “notable for advising South Western farmers and other landowners over several generations.” The guide quotes feedback from Coodes’ clients, describing the firm’s “excellent and responsive service” and “good communication.”
Working from Coodes’ network of offices across Cornwall and Devon, the Rural Services team advises farmers and landowners on range of issues, including agricultural property, farming partnerships and renewable energy.
The guide singles out Coodes Partner and Rural Services Team Leader Pam Johns as a leader in her field. Based in the firm’s Holsworthy office, Pam is described as “an experienced agricultural practitioner”. Clients say she is “extremely approachable” as well as being “very helpful, pragmatic and knowledgeable.”
Over the last 12 months Coodes has expanded its Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams to meet growing demand from across the region.
Partner Tim Goldburn joined Coodes in 2015 following a merger with Falmouth firm Preston Goldburn. He has more than 30 years’ experience of representing patients in medical negligence claims, including handling a number of high profile cases, and is highlighted in Chambers as offering “expertise in obstetrics and fatality cases.”
Chambers adds that, “sources describe Tim as ‘knowledgeable, effective, approachable and helpful’.”
One of the UK’s most respected legal guides, Chambers is based on independent research and client feedback. In September, Chambers High Net Worth Guide recommended Richard Pollock, Partner in Coodes’ Wills, Probate and Trust team, as a leader in his field.
Coodes Chairman Peter Lamble said: “We are delighted to see Coodes recommended in Chambers & Partners. This is one of the most respected and influential guides, highlighting the UK’s leading law firms and lawyers. Congratulations to Pam Johns and Tim Goldburn for being recognised for their expertise and quality service to clients.”
