Coodes highly commended at the Devon and Somerset Law Society Awards 2024

Fri 5th Jul 2024

We’re thrilled to announce that our talented staff at Coodes Solicitors walked away with two awards at the Devon and Somerset Law Society Awards last month. This is the latest success following the recent shortlisting for six awards in the Cornwall Law Society Awards 2024 last month, recognising colleagues hard work and dedication to clients.

The team enjoyed an evening filled with good food and entertainment at the awards ceremony held at University of Exeter Great Hall. Rachel Pearce, Head of Clinical Negligence and Personal injury was awarded highly commended in the Solicitor of the Year category whilst Coodes Family Team received a highly commended award in the Team of the Year category.

The Devon and Somerset Law Society is a membership body which works to support solicitors and those within the legal profession across the region. Each year they recognise individuals and firms through awards, designed to showcase the talent and expertise of the industry and the society’s membership.

In its entries, Coodes highlighted the culture of collaboration established throughout the business including through training and support systems. The important contribution by colleagues to the community was also noted, with Rachel Pearce recognised for her active engagement in the community and going the extra mile for clients.

Rachel Pearce, Head of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury, said: “I was thrilled to be recognised as Highly Commended Solicitor of the Year at the awards last month. Of course this wouldn’t have been possible without my incredible, dedicated and hard-working team.”

Sarah Evans, Head of the Family Department, said: “I am absolutely delighted that the family team has been recognised for our expertise, team-based approach and client focused service.”
