Coodes Solicitors earns top rankings in prestigious legal directory

Coodes Solicitors has once again been recognised for our legal expertise in the prestigious Chambers and Partners guide 2025.

The 2025 edition, which highlights the UK’s top solicitors, features three departments and four lawyers, shining a spotlight on the expertise and commitment to client care.

The Rural Services Team, Clinical Negligence Team and Commercial Dispute Resolution Teams have been ranked this year, with the latter breaking into the guide for the first time in respect of Real Estate Litigation. This marks a significant achievement for the firm, which has not only been recognised again for their long-standing legal expertise but their continued growth of the services they offer.

For more than 30 years, Chambers & Partners has delivered detailed rankings and insight into the world’s leading lawyers and law firms, based on detailed written submissions, interviews and in-depth independent research which takes into account law firms’ technical legal abilities, professional conduct, client service excellence, commercial astuteness, diligence, and commitment to clients.

The Rural Services Team has improved their ranking to Band 2 for work on a wide range of agricultural matters and their specialism in advising local farmers and other landowners over several generations. Testimonials note the team’s expertise, excellent knowledge and good client service.

Head of Rural Services, Pam Johns, has been ranked for the 11th year in a row, with testimonials noting she “is an excellent lawyer with a broad depth of professional and local knowledge”.

Abi Lutey, Head of Commercial Dispute Resolution has been ranked for the second year, for her extensive knowledge base and her ability to offer clear advice and support when dealing with agricultural disputes.

The Clinical Negligence Team has been ranked for the third year recognising the team’s expertise in a range of claims including delayed diagnosis, negligent surgery and birth injury. The team is recognised for their ability to “explain the process in a jargon-free way”, their empathy and hard work to “leave no stone unturned when investigating”.

Head of Clinical Negligence Rachel Pearce is ranked for the fifth year in a row, acknowledging her work on misdiagnosis and delay in treatment claims. The guide recognises her dedication, experience and that she “fights hard for all her clients”.

Julie Hatton, Partner at Coodes on the Clinical Negligence Team is ranked highly again for her work supporting clients on claims such as surgical errors and delayed diagnosis.  Testimonials reflect the strength of her work, stating “Julie is a first-class lawyer committed to going the extra mile to achieve the best possible result for those whose lives have been tragically affected by negligent medical care.”

The firm’s ranking in the Real Estate Litigation category for the first time is testament to their knowledge and expertise in dealing with commercial property disputes. The team advise on a range of contentious commercial property matters. Testimonials note the value of the team’s advice and good communication with clients.
