Coodes has welcomed a new partner to the Commercial Property Team.

Natalie Owen (neé Carey) has joined as a Partner, strengthening the well-respected team and the offering in Truro. With more than two decades of experience in property law, Natalie will enhance the firm’s specialist offering to businesses, landowners, developers and commercial landlords.

One of the leading commercial property firms in the South West, Coodes’ commercial property team has continued to grow in recent years as the firm meets growing demand for its specialist legal services in Cornwall and Devon. The team manages a wide range of standard commercial transactions, as well as offering high-level advice and expertise around agricultural property, financing options, development, commercial landlord and tenant and business transfers.

Natalie is an experienced solicitor and joins the team from a previous role with another South West law firm, and prior to that was a Partner with Knights. She has extensive experience dealing with a broad range of commercial property work, specifically handling landlord and tenant matters in the retail and office sectors, investment and portfolio work including sales, purchases and management and dealing with re-financing as well as involvement with corporate business property transfers. She has also acted on a range of other matters including pension transfers and commercial sales and purchases spanning a range of sectors.

Natalie Owen said: “I am delighted to join Coodes Solicitors and be part of such a highly respected Commercial Property team. With the firm’s strong reputation and deep roots in the South West, I’m excited to contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm and look forward to working closely with our clients, providing them with the specialist legal support they need to achieve their goals.”

Jo Morgan, Partner and Head of Commercial Property, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Natalie to our team. She has a wealth of experience and legal skill to provide our clients with the quality advice they have come to expect.

“Year on year, we have continued to grow our Commercial Property Team to meet the growing demand for our services and I know that Natalie’s appointment will be fundamental to our continued expansion.

“This year is the first that the team have been highlighted by Legal 500 as ‘one to watch’ in Commercial Property. This is testament to the quality and complexity of the matters that we handle and the service that is provided. The addition of a new Partner into the team will continue to increase our capacity to support clients on more technical work and broaden our ability to assist new clients joining us.”
