Coodes launching community advent calendar this December

Coodes has launched a new advent calendar for Christmas 2024 where a prize or donation will be unveiled each day throughout December. The Coodes Facebook page will be transformed for the season of giving revealing either a prize or a donation to members of the local community.

We have been advising businesses, families and individuals in the South West for over 275 years. Our firm and team members are deeply rooted within the community and economy of Devon and Cornwall. As such, we understand the challenges that local people face, but also understand the power that coming together to do good can have.

Last year as we began the approach to Christmas, we saw an opportunity to come together and do more for our community. We decided to launch an advent calendar that would allow not only our followers and clients the chance to win some great prizes, but also for them to suggest to us local schools, charities, food banks and local businesses that would benefit from monetary donations, vouchers, hampers or tokens.

The advent calendar was an overwhelming success with so many followers old and new getting involved. We received many daily comments of people not only entering for themselves but also suggesting names for other prizes and donations. That’s why we have decided to run another advent calendar this year starting from the 1^st December running all the way through to Christmas Eve.

This year there will be plenty of chances for our followers to win some great prizes like a family day out, festive meals and spa days. We will also be asking our followers to nominate local charities, nurseries, schools and more to win tokens, and hampers and receive donations. As with last year, the final day of our advent calendar will see us making a big bang donation of £250 to a local charity and we will be asking our followers who they think the money should go to.

However, we will be doing our best to monitor each day to remove fraudulent activity.
