Coodes Solicitors is proud to announce that Pam Johns, Head of Rural Services, has been elected President of the Devon and Somerset Law Society (DASLS) for the 2025/26 term. Pam was formally inaugurated at the Society’s Annual General Meeting held in Exeter on 29 April.
Pam’s legal career spans over four decades, having joined Coodes in 1989. In 1999, she became a Partner having established the firm’s Holsworthy office in 1998. With a wealth of experience in both residential and commercial property, Pam is especially well known for her work in rural property, supporting individuals, families and businesses across the local farming and landowning community.
Her legal expertise is widely recognised – Pam is consistently ranked among the leading practitioners in the region by both Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500, most recently appearing in the 2025 edition of Chambers UK.
DASLS is a key professional body representing solicitors and legal professionals across Devon and Somerset. It provides its members with training, resources, networking opportunities and a strong professional community.
Commenting on her new role, Pam said: “I am honoured to have been elected President of DASLS, following my previous terms as Deputy Vice President and Vice President. The Society plays a vital role in supporting our legal community and I am looking forward to an exciting year ahead with a full calendar of events already planned.”
