Coodes Solicitors is celebrating a double success after members of its Business Services and Clinical Negligence & Personal Injury teams were recognised at two prestigious regional legal awards.

At the Cornwall Law Society Awards 2025, held in the spectacular surroundings of Truro Cathedral, Lisa Robinson was named Commercial Property Lawyer of the Year and Fleur Uren was highly commended in the Junior Lawyer of the Year category. The firm was also shortlisted for Large Law Firm of the Year, with Jo Morgan nominated for Leader of the Year.

Meanwhile, at the Devon and Somerset Law Society (DASLS) Awards, held at the University Exeter, Coodes’ Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury team was named Team of the Year, recognising the team’s outstanding legal work and compassionate support for clients navigating often life-changing circumstances.

Lisa Robinson, a well-respected member of Coodes’ Commercial Property team, has built a strong reputation for her work, with more than 30 years of experience specialising in the rural sector.

Lisa handles a wide range of dealings with agricultural property, including the sale and purchase of farms as a whole or in lots, auctions, farm business tenancies, as well as general commercial property matters such as sales, purchases and financing of real estate and granting and taking of business leases.

Her win recognises not only her legal expertise but also her commitment to clients and the high level of service she consistently delivers.

Jo Morgan, Partner and Head of Commercial Property at Coodes Solicitors, said: “It is fantastic news for Lisa to receive the Award for Commercial Property Lawyer of the Year at the Cornwall Law Society Awards. This is richly deserved recognition for the hard work and dedication she brings to her clients and the complexity of the matters she handles. Lisa has built lasting relationships, especially in the rural sector, and this award reflects the impact of her work over many years.”

Fleur Uren, a rising star in the firm’s Commercial Disputes team was highly commended in the Junior Lawyer of the Year category. Fleur qualified as a solicitor in 2023, having previously completed a training contract with Coodes and prior to that working as a paralegal with the firm. She supports clients across a broad range of commercial, property and corporate disputes.

Kayleigh Whitman, Head of Commercial Dispute Resolution at Coodes Solicitors, said: “We are incredibly proud to have supported Fleur in the development of her career and to see her recognised at such a high profile event. It is a fantastic achievement and a real tribute to her dedication, professionalism and fast-developing expertise. Fleur’s commitment to delivering excellent outcomes for clients is already making a big impact and we are excited to see her continue to grow as a talented young lawyer.”

At the Devon and Somerset Law Society (DASLS) Awards, in Exeter, the firm’s Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury team was recognised for its dedication to securing justice and supporting clients through often complex and highly sensitive cases.

Rachel Pearce, Partner and Head of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury at Coodes Solicitors, said: “I am absolutely thrilled and could not be prouder of my team winning the Team of the Year award.
