Rachel Pearce, Head of Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury, has been shortlisted for Clinical Negligence Lawyer of the Year at the prestigious Personal Injury Awards 2025.

The awards celebrate outstanding individuals and teams across the UK who have made a meaningful impact in the fields of personal injury and clinical negligence – highlighting excellence, innovation and client care across the sector.

With nearly 20 years’ experience, Rachel is known for her work on complex and high-value medical injury claims across the South West and beyond. Her case portfolio includes birth injuries, surgical errors, misdiagnosis and fatal claims.

Under her leadership, Coodes’ Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury team has earned a reputation for combining legal expertise with compassion, providing sensitive, expert support to clients and their families often navigating life-changing circumstances and a search for justice.

This latest shortlisting builds on a strong history of national recognition. At the 2024 Personal Injury Awards, the team won Clinical Negligence Team of the Year, with Rachel also named a finalist in the same individual category. Coodes was also shortlisted for Outstanding Case of the Year.

And in the 2026 edition of The Legal 500, released earlier this month, Rachel is praised for her “compassion and first-rate legal knowledge”, with the team ranked Tier 2.

Commenting on her shortlisting, Rachel said: “I am honoured to once again be recognised at the Personal Injury Awards and to be named among such a strong group of finalists.

“Every member of our team plays a vital part in achieving the best outcome for our clients, so this nomination is a reflection of the dedication, empathy and expertise they bring to every case.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Manchester on 27 November 2025.

With nine offices located throughout Cornwall and Devon, Coodes Solicitors has built a well-deserved reputation for providing individuals and businesses with exceptional legal services and is recognised as a leading law firm in both the Legal 500 and UK Chambers and Partners guides.

While its history and roots lie firmly in the South West, it is also of increasing national significance, both for the level of expertise it offers, in wide-ranging and niche areas of legal practice, and its growth into an £11 million-plus business, placing it among the top four per cent of UK law firms by turnover.
