£38,000 raised for Cornwall Air Ambulance as charity partnership ends 

After two years of fundraising and remarkable dedication, Coodes Solicitors’ nominated partnership with Cornwall Air Ambulance came to a close this July. A total of £38,000 was raised for the life-saving organisation through a wide variety of activities. 

Cornwall Air Ambulance serves Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, providing critical care for patients facing a serious illness or accident. Operating without direct government funding, the charity relies on the generosity of individuals and organisations to keep its helicopters in the air and its crew responding to emergencies. 

Across the eight offices, Coodes colleagues threw themselves into a wide and imaginative range of fundraising activities, including cake sales, dress down days, raffles, quizzes, bingo, teddy tombolas and charity breakfasts. Certain individuals went above and beyond with the likes of a sponsored skydive and the Classic Quarter run. The firm also sponsored Steven Webb’s 500 mile wheelchair challenge, helping him raise many tens of thousands of pounds.  

One of the partnership highlights came in June 2026, when five members of the team completed the National Three Peaks Challenge. The intrepid climbers raised over £7,300 alone, summiting Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa back-to-back in 30 hours.  

The firm also sponsored the charity’s Helifest event in 2025 and 2026, attending and providing free activities for children and families, as well as supporting the Christmas video fundraising campaign.

Emily gave so much of herself to the cause, and it showed in the response she drew from our people. This was on top of her responsibilities as a solicitor and commitment to her clients.

“Receiving no direct government funding presents pressure when we need to raise £9 million each year; so when partnerships like this come along, we do all we can to nurture the relationship. Every penny they raise keeps our helicopters and crew ready to respond, so we can be there for someone’s tomorrow.  

“The support from Coodes was clear from day one, whether it was through brave personal challenges or simply showing up to our charity events. We wish them the best of luck for their next chapter, and the charity of the year to follow are incredibly lucky to have this brilliant firm behind them.”
