The father was in process of selling his property but died before contracts were exchanged. The buyers were keen to exchange and complete and the children were worried that they would lose the sale as it had taken several years to find a buyer, therefore an application had to be made expediently, which we were able to do and the sale went through.
Our client's Mother had died and she was finding the whole legal process too upsetting to deal with when she was coming to terms with her loss. She wanted us to deal with probate. Therefore, we ascertained the value of assets, obtained Grant of Probate, encashed the assets, paid the funeral costs and outstanding liabilities and distributed the estate, with minimum disruption and upset caused to her.
Our clients wanted to make Wills to benefit charities that were close to their hearts and wanted to make provision for their animals. They had no children and no close family. We prepared Wills for them which dealt with the care of their animals and then the remainder of their estate went to the their chosen charities.
Our client needed to move into a nursing home and she wished for us to deal with selling her the property and managing her finances. We administer LPAs like this for clients who are unable to do so themselves and do not have close friends or family capable of taking on the responsibility.
