Landlord and Tenant Disputes

Our Personal Disputes team has wide-ranging experience in landlord and tenant disputes, helping our clients reach a resolution as quickly and cost-efficiently as possible. Given that these kinds of disputes typically centre on a property that is someone’s home, they can be highly distressing and escalate quickly. If you are a landlord in dispute with your tenant(s), we will provide expert jargon-free advice to help you understand your rights, assess your options and make informed decisions.

We advise landlords in disputes arising from tenants’ failure to pay their rent or breaking the terms of their tenancy agreement. We also act for landlords who wish to obtain possession via the non-fault based ‘section 21’ process, though the Renters Reform Bill currently going through Parliament intends to abolish these evictions. We also assist when a tenant, or someone authorised by them, causes damage to a rental property

Whatever the dispute, we aim to provide up-to-date practical advice to achieve a swift resolution in this fast-evolving area of law. We will discuss your needs and requirements and advise you on the best course of action from the outset.

We offer a fixed-fee service for preparing a notice for eviction, and some other landlord and tenancy services, such as the instruction of a bailiff to enforce an order for possession.

If you are a landlord or a tenant is dispute, we recommend you get in touch with us as soon as possible.
