What is a Chain?

A sequence of residential properties being sold and purchased, the progress of which are interdependent. For example Seller 1 is selling a property to Buyer 1, who is also selling their property to Buyer 2, who is selling their property to Buyer 3 and so on, creating a “chain” of connected transactions. If one of these interconnected transactions breaks down or is delayed, it can delay progress for each of the transactions further up the chain.
