Coodes Solicitors shortlisted for prestigious customer service awards

Tue 19th Sep 2017

Coodes Solicitors’ conveyancing team has been recognised for its outstanding customer service to clients by the biggest award scheme in the UK residential property industry. The law firm, which has offices across Cornwall and Devon, is now up against some of the UK’s biggest conveyancers for the new ESTAS Conveyancer Awards.

The ESTAS Group, which highlights the best firms for customer service involved in buying and selling properties, has revealed its first shortlist for their inaugural Conveyancer Awards. The results are based purely on feedback data from customers who were asked a series of questions about the service they received during the home moving process. Over 5,000 customers completed a survey providing 125,000 pieces of data relating to customer service delivered by the conveyancers taking part.

Johanna Heane, who is based in Coodes’ Newquay office, is one of only ten individuals from across the UK to be shortlisted in the People Awards category. This is based on Johanna’s exceptional customer service ratings.

The winners will be announced at the first ESTAS Conveyancer Awards sponsored by SearchFlow. The awards will be held in the ballroom at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair London on Friday 20th October. The awards are backed by the Conveyancing Association and The Society of Licensed Conveyancers.

Jo Morgan, Partner in Coodes Solicitors’ Residential Property team said: “The Coodes team is really delighted to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award. We are up against some of the UK’s biggest conveyancing firms so being shortlisted underlines the quality of our service across our branches. We are also very proud of Johanna Heane, in our Newquay team, who has been singled out for an individual award.

“We have been shortlisted for a number of other national awards in recent months. The ESTAS is particularly special though because it is based on client feedback. We are very grateful to all the clients who have helped us to be shortlisted and are looking forward to the awards ceremony in October.”

The ceremony will be presented by TV property expert and ESTAS Brand Ambassador Phil Spencer. Spencer, who has hosted The ESTAS since they were created back in 2003 said “We live in a world where customer reviews are becoming increasingly important in the consumer decision making process so The ESTAS provides a kite mark for excellent service for any property professional involved in the house moving process Any firm that enters has already sent a clear message that they are passionate about customer service so to make it on to the shortlist is a huge achievement in itself.”

Simon Brown, founder of The ESTAS says “We want to highlight conveyancing firms who are providing exceptional levels of customer care through the moving process. We believe the best way to judge the performance of a conveyancer is to ask the clients who have experienced the whole service through to completion. It’s often later in the transaction when a firm really shows their worth and at those times it is their experience and professionalism that gets the deal back on track.”

Greg Bryce, Managing Director at headline sponsor SearchFlow, the market leading provider of conveyancing search solutions in the UK, said “We believe these awards will become the benchmark for customer service in the conveyancing sector, so as the leading provider of conveyancing search solutions it made perfect sense for SearchFlow to become the headline sponsor demonstrating our own commitment to deliver excellent service and working with conveyancing firms with a likeminded approach. I’m really looking forward to meeting the winners on stage in October.”
