Coodes Solicitors has attracted a local conveyancing professional with 30 years’ experience to join its fast-growing Residential Property team. Brenda Robinson, who was born and grew up near Camborne, now lives in Hayle and joins Coodes as a Chartered Legal Executive in the firm’s Penzance office.

Brenda trained at Truro College and through correspondence courses with the Ilex Tutorial College, now CILEx Law School. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, Brenda Robinson’s career has so far been established in law firms in Camborne. With residential conveyancing experience spanning three decades, she has supported two generations of some local families to buy a home.

Brenda joins Coodes from Nalders Solicitors, where she worked in the firm’s Camborne office for 21 years.

Brenda said: “I came to Coodes because I wanted to join a large and forward-looking firm that would offer variety and a challenge. Although they are only ten miles apart, I am already discovering that Penzance and Camborne are very different places when it comes to conveyancing, with Penzance having a number of listed buildings and a more diverse range of properties.

“My first impressions are that Coodes has a very happy team and is a flexible employer that trusts its staff and supports them to develop.”

Head of Residential Property and Coodes Partner Alistair Whyte said: “With her 30 years’ experience of handling residential property cases in West Cornwall, Brenda Robinson is a great addition to our team.

“Following a 69 per cent growth in our conveyancing business between 2012 and 2014, we’ve been focusing on growing our Residential Property team across Cornwall. We’re attracting some of the region’s most experienced lawyers, growing the firm’s breadth of expertise across all aspects of conveyancing.”
