Experience
Approximately half of Amy’s caseload is spent dealing with Probates, with the remainder of her time spent drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Amy has experience in dealing with complex high value estates with foreign assets. One recent matter involved an estate of a deceased individual who died without a Will and had numerous assets in the United States of America as well as land and property in the UK. As there was no Will the beneficiaries of the estate were unknown and had to be traced as well as the value of the assets in USA having to be ascertained and then released in compliance with USA probate requirements.
Amy has experience in drafting more complex Life Interest Trust Wills for clients and in particular those clients who may have married for a second time in later life and wish to protect a share of their estate for their children from their first marriage.
Amy has experience in drafting complex Lasting Powers of Attorney both health and welfare and property and financial affairs.
