Jo Counter returned to Coodes in 2022, to work within the Commercial Property department having previously worked at Coodes for a number of years.
Jo has over 10 years’ experience in the Commercial Property sector, both within the legal profession working alongside a Partner and latterly in Commercial Management / Agency.
Jo has experience in dealing with both freehold and leasehold property matters which includes dealing with New Build developments and Commercial Landlord and Tenant matters.
Assisting in the sale of a number of plots as part of a large development project. Assisting with Land Registry requirements in releasing previous charge against land, exchanging contracts, dealing with completion and lender requirements.
Assisting with acting for a developer in the setup of a development site with 6 units. Advising client in initial setup phase to include advice on creation of a Management Company, pre-approval of site plans by the Land Registry, advice on shared facilities and rights of access and services required by each property.
Acting for seller in a sale of plot of land in Tavistock by auction, dealing with due diligence, auction requirements, raising searches, preparing auction pack, drafting transfer and contract and dealing with completion requirements.
Acting for purchasers of a Community Orchard in Callington by auction. Dealing with due diligence, raising enquiries, reviewing title, drafting transfer and dealing with completion requirements.
Acting for Sellers of a commercial shop in Bugle being sold for residential development. Drafting sale contract and dealing with enquiries raised, completing matter through to exchange and completion.
Acting for a Seller in the sale of 49 acres of agricultural land being sold in two plots. Dealing with standard agricultural property enquiries, redemption of mortgage, drafting contract and assisting with surveyor for plans being prepared.
