Experience
Julian specialises in helping vulnerable clients deal with complex issues such as domestic abuse, mental health issues, care proceedings and social services involvement with families. He carries out his own advocacy, which means he will represent clients in court instead of always using Barristers. This provides continuity for the clients, wherever possible.
Julian represents children in care cases, this is when social services are involved. He will help the child with the court process and contact with the guardian to ensure that their voice is heard.
Representing a client where there was domestic violence alleged within the relationship. After a two day fact finding hearing the Court found in our client's favour, and said there was no reason why our client should not have direct contact with his children.
Representing a vulnerable person who the Local Authority were looking to remove from his home. By working with the client's sibling, we were able to agree a package of care which has enabled the client to remain within the family home, but with better support than was there previously.
Acting for a mother where the Local Authority were looking to remove at least one child because of school non-attendance. The Local Authority have now agreed to look more at what support can be provided to the family to get the children back into education before seeking to remove any of the children from the family.

I have been very impressed with the level of professionalism with which all of this has been dealt with by yourself and Shelley.
