Experience
Sarah conducts a broad range of family cases but has particular interest in supporting victims of domestic abuse and has strong links with local domestic abuse services as a result.
She deals with a variety of proceedings involving the arrangements for children including disputes between parents and cases where proceedings are issued by the Local Authority.
Sarah also deals with a variety of financial matters upon divorce including acting in complex high net worth cases and cases involving third party intervenors.
Complex care proceedings involving the death of a child in which findings of blame were sought;
Acting in a reported case before the Royal Courts of Justice under the court’s inherent jurisdiction to determine which parent ought to make funeral arrangements following the death of their child. This included looking at an unusual point of law on locus to oppose the application;
Acting for a parent involved in a dispute over a child’s living arrangements involving allegations of domestic abuse;
Acting for a client in complex high-net worth financial relief proceedings with allegations of substantial failure to disclose assets.

- Level 2 Certificate in Understanding the Nature and Dynamics of Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (DASV) through Safer Futures

Sarah works closely with a number of organisations supporting victims of domestic abuse including the Susie Project, Domestic Abuse Cornwall and Independent Domestic Violence Advocates.
