Coodes Partner Kirsty Davey appointed as President of Cornwall Law Society

Tue 21st Nov 2023

Coodes are proud to announce that Kirsty Davey, Partner and Department Manager of the Corporate and Commercial team has been appointed as the new President of Cornwall Law Society.

Kirsty Davey was appointed as President last week, following a year of serving as Vice-President of the organisation. Within that time Kirsty helped deliver events for members and create greater links for those working in the legal profession in Cornwall.

Kirsty qualified as a solicitor in 2012 having previously working as a paralegal in the litigation team and undertaking her training contract with the firm. She has vast experience in corporate transactions and restructuring together with all aspects of commercial law. Kirsty is an active member in the Cornwall business community, previously serving as a Council member for the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce. She is currently an Enterprise Advisor linked to Penryn College.

Kirsty said: “I’m thrilled to have been appointed as President for the next year. I’ve got very big boots to fill but I will do my best for our members and the society to make sure we continue to grow and support lawyers at all stages of their careers across the county.”

Cornwall Law Society supports in excess of 200 members in the Cornwall by providing guidance, training, marketing, recruitment and social events. The Society is the county’s independent local Law Society and voice for all legal professionals.

At Coodes, we are proud that our colleagues work hard to support other members of the legal profession in Cornwall, to improve the experience for recently qualified and experienced solicitors alike.

You can keep up to date with the Cornwall Law Society through their website.
