Richard Pollock has a broad legal practise, advising a wide range of clients on (often overlapping) matters of Estate and Succession Planning; Trusts and related taxation; Estate and Trust Administration. Richard acts as a trustee, an executor, an attorney and a Deputy for many clients of the firm.

Richard has particular expertise in Court of Protection matters, acting as a Member of the Court of Protection’s Panel of professional Deputies.

Expertise

Richard has acted for a large number of high net worth clients over his 25 years in practise, often with complex assets and/or family dynamics.

He will often advise on family succession and ultimately administration of the relevant family estate. Clients are often drawn from the farming or business communities and Richard has a deep understanding of the issues relevant to such clients.

Richard has acted for substantial numbers of clients under the supervision of the Court of Protection, both as a Court appointed Deputy, and an Attorney. He has very wide experience of the issues affecting protected parties and is an unstinting advocate for vulnerable clients.

Richard is a former chair of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) for the West of England branch and has been repeatedly recommended in Chambers and Partners UK and now in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide.
